At MyStories, every book is made to order with care and precision. Below is an outline of what to expect from the time you place your order to the moment it arrives at your door.
1. MyStories Personalised Books
1.1 Average Lead Time
The estimated lead time for delivery is:
South Africa (National Delivery): 10–15 business days
International Delivery: 15–30 business days (subject to customs clearance)
1.2 Order Timeline
Your order is processed in three key stages:
1.2.1 Processing Time: 1–5 business days
Orders are processed and prepared for printing upon confirmation of availability and receipt of payment.
You will receive an email confirmation once your order is received.
Orders are batched and sent to print every Monday and/or Thursday morning.
1.2.2 Printing & Quality Check: 4–7 business days
Printing partners take up to 7 business days to produce your book.
All books undergo a quality assurance check.
If any issues are detected, we will notify you and reprint the affected book (please allow an additional 3–5 business days).
1.2.3 Delivery Time: 1–5 business days (South Africa)
Once printed, your order is shipped via The Courier Guy or another trusted courier.
Waybills are prepared in advance, and tracking details are emailed to you by our logistics partner (e.g., BobGo).
You’ll receive email updates throughout the process, including a follow-up email after delivery.
1.3 Important Delivery Notes
Delivery times are estimates and depend on courier performance.
Unforeseen events (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, or customs delays) may affect timelines.
MyStories is not liable for delays beyond our control.
To ensure smooth delivery, please provide:
• a valid email address
• an active mobile number
• an accurate street address for door-to-door delivery
1.4 Delivery Restrictions & Surcharges
1.4.1 Remote Locations
Deliveries to farms, hospitals, mines, power stations, chain stores, or plots may incur extra courier fees.
If you live in a remote area, we recommend providing a town-based address or kiosk collection point.
1.4.2 South Africa
Delivery takes 1–5 business days, depending on your location.
We cannot deliver directly to farms, hospitals, or extremely remote areas.
1.4.3 International Deliveries
Estimated delivery is 15–30 business days, depending on customs clearance.
1.5 Customs, Duties & Taxes
MyStories is not responsible for customs duties, import taxes, insurance, or any other charges once your parcel enters the destination country.
These charges are the customer’s responsibility.
We recommend checking with your local customs authority before placing your order.
Courier-specific terms may apply.
1.6 Damaged Products
If your order arrives damaged, please:
Contact info@mystories.co.za within 7 days of receiving your order
Include your order number
Attach clear colour photographs of the damage
Retain all packaging materials for inspection
Once we assess the issue, we will take the necessary steps, either by reprinting and reshipping the product or issuing a refund where appropriate.

2. MyStoriesPrint – Custom Books
2.1 Production Timeline
MyStoriesPrint books are fully custom projects and may include services such as layout preparation, formatting, editing, writing assistance, illustration, or coordination with independent illustrators or editors.
Some projects may involve only preparing customer-supplied print-ready files, while others may require additional creative and production work.
Production will begin once:
• all required files and information have been received
• any agreed writing, editing, illustration, or layout work has been completed
• the final digital proof has been approved by the customer
• full payment has been received
Production and delivery timelines will be determined on a case-by-case basis, depending on the scope of services required, the complexity of the project, and customer response times.
Estimated timelines will be communicated to the customer before printing begins, but these remain estimates and are not guaranteed.
MyStoriesPrint cannot guarantee completion or delivery by a specific date unless confirmed in writing.
2.2 Delivery Timeline
Once printing is complete, delivery typically takes:
South Africa: 1–5 business days
International: 15–30 business days, depending on destination and customs clearance
Tracking details will be provided once the order has shipped.
Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary depending on courier services, customs clearance, and other external factors.
2.3 Customer Approval Responsibility
Printing will only begin once the customer has reviewed and approved the final digital proof.
Delays in customer approval may delay production and delivery timelines.
MyStoriesPrint is not responsible for delays resulting from late customer responses or requested revisions.
2.4 Shipping Responsibility
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information.
MyStoriesPrint is not liable for delays, losses, or additional costs resulting from:
• incorrect or incomplete delivery information
• courier delays
• customs processing
• circumstances beyond our reasonable control
Additional courier fees may apply for redelivery or address corrections.
2.5 International Orders and Customs
International shipments may be subject to customs duties, VAT, import taxes, or other fees.
These charges are the responsibility of the customer.
Customs clearance timelines are outside MyStoriesPrint’s control.
2.6 Damaged Products
If your MyStoriesPrint order arrives damaged, please contact info@mystories.co.za within 7 days and include clear photographs of the damage.
We will assess the issue and arrange a replacement where appropriate.
